Terms and Conditions
Effective date: 21 July 2026. Last updated: 21 July 2026.
All compounds catalogued by Biogenetic Research Labs Ltd are for in-vitro laboratory research only. They are not medicinal products and are not for human or veterinary use.
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of this website, and any order you place for compounds catalogued on it. By accessing this site or placing an order you agree to be bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use this site.
Who we are and the purpose of this site
This site is operated by Biogenetic Research Labs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17298432, with its registered office at 20 Wenlock Road, London, England, N1 7GU. You can contact us at hello@protocolpeptides.co.uk.
Protocol Peptides catalogues research-grade peptides and related compounds for in-vitro laboratory research. The compounds are not medicinal products, are not licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, and are not for human or veterinary use, diagnosis, treatment or any other form of administration. These Terms govern your access to, use of, and orders from this catalogue.
Research use only
All compounds catalogued on this site are listed strictly for in-vitro laboratory research. By placing an order you confirm that:
- You understand and accept that the compounds are not for human or veterinary consumption and are not medicinal products.
- You will use the compounds only in a laboratory or controlled research setting.
- You will not resupply, repackage, relabel or redistribute the compounds for human or veterinary use, and will not describe them as suitable for such use.
- You accept full responsibility for the safe handling, storage, use and disposal of the compounds, including any duties owed under the Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 or the equivalent regime where you are.
We provide no guidance on preparation, quantity or administration, and will not provide such guidance on request.
Eligibility and your account
- You must be 18 or over. By entering this site and by placing an order you confirm that you are.
- You must give accurate and current contact, delivery and billing information. Orders placed with information we reasonably believe to be false may be cancelled.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity carried out under your account.
- Tell us immediately at hello@protocolpeptides.co.uk if you believe your account has been used without your authority.
- We close accounts that have been inactive for 12 months and delete or anonymise the account data, as set out in our Privacy Policy. Records we are required to keep for tax and accounting are retained separately for six years.
Orders, prices and payment
- All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). We are not currently VAT registered, so no VAT is added to the price shown.
- The price you pay is the price displayed at the point you place your order. Delivery charges are shown separately before you place the order and are included in the total shown at checkout. No fee, surcharge or charge is added after that point.
- Placing an order is an offer to enter into a contract. Your order is accepted, and the contract is formed, when we send you a dispatch confirmation. Our acknowledgement of your order is not acceptance.
- We may decline an order, including where a compound cannot be listed to your jurisdiction, where the age or research-use confirmation in clauses 02 and 03 has not been given, where a pricing error is obvious, or where accepting it would breach the Acceptable Use policy.
- If we decline an order after you have paid, we refund you in full to the original payment method within 14 days.
- Payment is taken by our payment provider. We do not store full card details.
Dispatch and delivery
- We dispatch from the United Kingdom. Delivery timescales, carriers and packaging are set out in our Dispatch and Delivery policy, which forms part of these Terms.
- Unless we agree otherwise, we deliver within 30 days of the day the contract is formed, as required by section 28 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- Where you are a consumer, the goods are our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to a person you have named to take delivery. Where you have arranged your own carrier, risk passes when we hand the goods to that carrier.
- We deliver only to the destinations listed at checkout. You are responsible for checking that receipt of the compound is permitted where you are before you order.
Cancellation, returns and refunds
Your cancellation and return rights, including the 14 day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the limited circumstances in which that right does not apply to sealed research compounds, are set out in full in our Cancellations, Returns and Refunds policy. That policy forms part of these Terms.
Where an exception to the right to cancel applies to a compound, that is stated on the compound’s page before you order.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 to goods that are of satisfactory quality, as described, and fit for purpose.
Product safety and your responsibilities
- The compounds are not approved for human or veterinary use and must not be administered to any person or animal.
- You are responsible for risk assessment, containment, personal protective equipment, storage conditions and disposal in your own setting.
- We are not liable for loss or damage arising from use of a compound outside a laboratory research setting, from administration to a person or animal, from storage or handling outside the conditions published for that compound, or from any onward supply you make.
Intellectual property
All content on this site, including text, photography, product records, analytical documents, layout, branding and code, is owned by Biogenetic Research Labs Ltd or licensed to us. You may view and print pages for your own research records. You may not copy, republish, scrape, or use any part of this site for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use this site or any compound obtained through it to:
- Break any law that applies to you.
- Supply, administer, market or describe a compound for human or veterinary use.
- Present a compound as a medicine, supplement, cosmetic or food.
- Circumvent a jurisdiction restriction, including by giving a false delivery address.
- Interfere with the site, its security, or other users, including by automated scraping or by attempting to access accounts that are not yours.
We may cancel orders, suspend or close accounts, refuse future orders, and report conduct to the relevant authority where these Terms are breached. Full detail is in our Acceptable Use policy.
Our liability to you
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for breach of the terms implied by sections 9 to 11 and 13 to 16 of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or sections 12 to 15 of the Sale of Goods Act 1979, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.
Subject to that:
- If you are a consumer, we are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, and we are not liable for business losses.
- If you are acting wholly or mainly for business purposes, our total liability to you in connection with an order is limited to the price paid for that order, and we exclude liability for loss of profit, loss of business, loss of data, and indirect or consequential loss.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from use of a compound for a purpose other than in-vitro laboratory research, including administration to any person or animal.
Indemnity
This clause applies only where you are acting wholly or mainly for business purposes. It does not apply to consumers.
You agree to indemnify Biogenetic Research Labs Ltd and its officers and employees against claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs arising from your use of a compound outside in-vitro laboratory research, your onward supply of a compound, your breach of these Terms, or your breach of any law that applies to your receipt, handling, storage, use or disposal of the compound.
Events outside our control
We are not liable for delay or failure to perform caused by an event outside our reasonable control, including carrier failure, customs action, severe weather, or interruption to public networks or utilities. If such an event occurs we will tell you and, where the delay is substantial, you may cancel the affected order and receive a full refund.
Privacy and data
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. Both form part of these Terms.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If something has gone wrong, contact us first at hello@protocolpeptides.co.uk. Our complaints process, response times and escalation route are set out in Complaints and Dispute Resolution.
Changes to these Terms
We may change these Terms. The version that applies to your order is the version published when you placed it, and its version identifier is recorded with your order. We keep dated superseded versions and will provide the version applicable to your order on request. Changes to these Terms do not affect an order already accepted.
Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes will be heard by the courts of England and Wales. If you are a consumer resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the benefit of any mandatory consumer protection in force there.
